This guide provides an overview of the latest (left-hand) navigation options in HR. Accessible options will differ depending on user role security and the modules purchased. Modules that can be purchased to supplement our core HR product will be referred to as add-ons below.
This menu structure is an overview only as each area has its own detailed guidance on how to use or configure the functionality (several are linked for your reference).

Introduction
- Welcome to the HR! Our action-orientated menu is designed to help you manage all your people processes
- The page menu can be expanded/collapsed by clicking on either the burger menu (top left) or the HR product button (the name can be configured to be bespoke to your organisation via your Branding Configuration)
- Pages are organised under headers which can be expanded by clicking the down arrow
- Each menu area also contains related configuration pages at the bottom of the list
- Each user role will have a tailored view based on what you wish them to view which is controlled by page access security
- There is a search in the menu to help you find the pages you need. If you have previously used the former (top) menu layout you can still search for the old page names and it will return the new name and take you there

Dashboard
- This is your personal Dashboard that allows you to add your own ‘widgets’ to display useful information when you log in, and is best set up when your system is up and running and you have meaningful data to display. In-app guidance can help you set this up
Profile
- Clicking on your photo/initials in the bottom left corner opens the profile menu
- Your Personal Profile shows login details and history, and you can change your password here if not using single sign on (SSO)
- If you have an admin licence for the Sign-in Admin area, then the page will display here so you can access the configuration area to manage user accounts, overall security settings and external links, SSO and global branding configuration
- You'll also find the Log out button here to securely exit the system
Onboarding (add-on)
- This menu will show if the add-on Onboarding module is installed
- Get started: Where new starters can be taken through your organisation onboarding process
- Content Management: Where you can manage and amend your content for different types of onboarder
Company
- This menu covers company-wide information
- Employee Directory will bring up an advanced search box enabling you to search for, sort, and filter all employees in your organisation
- Company Org Chart will bring up a pictorial representation of your organisation's hierarchy
- The News pop-up can be configured to show news and updates from the company when you log in. You can control whether the pop-up is suppressible and it can be viewed on demand from the News page in the menu (if configured)
- Company Documents that employees have been given access to based on their user role
- Reward Points Leaderboard to display employee kudos points rankings which can be awarded via the Directory
- Company Skills and Qualifications Search will match employees against a defined criteria
- Contact us to quickly email a nominated email address
Holidays & Absence
Options within this menu provide access to information or processes related to holiday and absence
- Book & View Time Off is where you add/amend absences and can view history

Absence Calendar is a useful planner view of absence year on year with quick-entry feature
- Absence Summary show holiday and other absence balances and is where holiday entitlement can be amended

See Who's Off provide two planner charts to view staff attendance
- Company is for all staff to see who's in/out (no absence reasons)
- Manager Team View is for HR/Managers to see the full details of absence for subordinates they have access to
- Manage Deputy allows you to delegate the responsibility of verifying requests such as holiday bookings
- Absence Administration includes features such Bulk Holiday adjustments, Bulk Inserts and Pro Rata Holiday Calculations
Approvals

This menu is for users with subordinate permissions to review and verify records
- Verification allows you to view and approve/decline any request such as holiday bookings
- Timesheet approvals (add-on module) to verify subordinate timesheets
- Safeguarding & employee check approvals (add-on module) to verify compliance checks along with a history
Starters & Leavers
- Typically an HR user menu to process starters and leavers:

Starters sub-menu highlights include:
- Add New Employee options to follow full guided Workflow or quickly add a basic record with Personal Details Only
- Re-employ / Re-instate Workflow to rehire leavers
- Candidate Importer (add-on module) where you can import candidate data (subject to configuration) from the Ciphr iRecruit or other independent Applicant Tracking System

- Leaver Workflow to guide you through each stage of the process
- View Leaver Details provides leaver reasons, dates and notes

Personal

This is where all users access their own, and (where applicable) subordinates' personal information
- Access to the menu items and the ability to change or add data, is determined by the security settings defined in HR user roles
- Personal Details contains contact details, equal opportunities and bank information, and overall employment details such as notice periods
- Emergency & Other Contact Details displays employee emergency or any other relevant contact information
- Additional information is a customisable area where you can create your own forms to capture bespoke information such as company car, parking permit, allergies, suggestion forms, risk assessments
- Upload Photo is where employees who have been granted permission to manage this, can upload a photo of themselves which will be visible on each employee page and in Subsets

Subject Access Request page allows employees to raise a request in the system to view their personal data
Job, Pay & Reward
- This menu contains employees' job and pay records, any payments and or allowances that they receive
- Job and Pay Administration and Configuration are associated admin pages to support the management of Jobs, HR pay review and Spine increments

Add ons - Total Reward Statement and Payroll documents (payslips, P60s and P11Ds) will also display here if configured
Employee Checks & Compliance
- Areas to deal with compliance and safeguarding are stored here
- Policy Acceptance captures employee signatures to confirm they have read and accept your organisation's policies

Add-ons
- Safeguarding & Employee Checks enables you to create bespoke checklists to ensure that compliance and safeguarding activities have been completed
- Senior Managers & Certificate Regime (SMCR) has additional features to help you assess the fitness and propriety of your people

Identity and Background Checks integrates with our trusted partners
- Experian and TrustID - to automate essential employment checks
Performance & Development
- The menu options that are available within this menu will vary dependent on what aspects of the Talent module have been installed
- Employee Dashboard pulls together the main pages in this area for ease of reference - Reviews, Objectives, Skills, and Development Needs
- There are also a number of areas related to training, development and skills, including search, course booking and evaluation options
- Processes & Guidance enables you to define steps that need to take place for specific tasks such as probation and annual reviews

- The full Talent Management module provides a Performance Dashboard containing 9 box grids and succession planning features, as well as unlimited review templates
Case Management

This menu contains features to record, manage and track HR cases securely and efficiently

Employee Relations is where you would normally record employee interactions with relation to pay,
grievances or disciplinary cases -

- Cases and the associate configuration are part of the case management module which enables you to record, manage and track HR cases securely and efficiently

Timesheets (add-on)

This menu will display if you've purchased the add-on Timesheets module to track employee time quickly
and easily
Reporting
- The options within this menu will again be determined by the security settings of the role, the reports that have been made accessible and also whether the user has a report designer licence
- Reports can be accessed and run from this page
- Specialist Reports contains pre-built reports for specific areas of the system such as Talent Management, Data Retention Dashboard and Employee Sentiment Dashboard

Payroll (add-on)

Employee Communications

Live Chat Portal is where HR agents can manage and respond to queries and requests, with basic service-level agreement (SLA) tracking. Users can send queries via the onscreen live chat bubble
- Letter pages allows you manage merge templates which can be distributed to users and automatically filed in their personal documents

Add-on
- Communications enables system administrators to quickly send email or SMS messages and report on response rates
Data Management
- Options within this menu enable you to configure the various aspects of HR and organise your data, such as the content of the code tables and picklists
- There are many elements to this menu, and the majority of pages require a system administrator licence as they require consideration and planning, prior to making changes
- Groups of data can also be updated via Bulk Change from here

Login account status is an important page in this menu as this controls the sync of login accounts with the Sign in admin area
System Configuration
- This menu is also mainly restricted to system administrators
- It contains the system security settings that are controlled within Role Management, Record and Field Groups, Licensing and Verifications
- System Settings form the defaults that will be applied on a system wide basis
- System Configuration form further system wide settings in more granular detail

The remaining options enable configuration of other system-wide areas
such as branding, languages (add-on) and dashboard widgets
