Introduction
The Employee Dashboard provides a summary view and breakdown of progress against reviews, objectives, skills and development needs, as well as providing a central location for users to insert new information in each of these areas.
To access the Employee Dashboard, ensure that you have the employee required in view and go to:
• Latest (left-hand) menu: Performance & Development > Employee Dashboard
• Pre-2025 (top) menu: Talent & Development Talent Management Employee Dashboard
Employee Dashboard tabs
- The Summary tab displays a progress snapshot against a selected Review Type, which is selected from the dropdown list
- Hovering over a pie chart will display more details
- The Reviews tab contains all the reviews, which can be filtered against a selected Review Type from the dropdown list
- The remaining tabs relate to the corresponding pages within the Performance/Talent & Development menu and visibility is controlled by the associated page permissions:
- Objectives: displays active objectives (incomplete or with a future target date) from the Objectives page
- Skills: displays skills from the Skills and Qualifications page, added since the last review date
- Development Needs: mirrors the Development Needs page
| Note: Objectives, Skills, and Development Needs can be recorded either through the relevant menu from the menu heading Talent & Development or they can be inserted via the Dashboard by selecting the relevant tab and clicking Insert New Record (subject to page permissions). |
Rated questions in the Employee Dashboard Summary
- Rated 1-5 style rated questions (Ratings, Ranges or Stars) can be enabled to 'include in the Dashboard', via the Review Form Configuration
- Ratings will display in the Dashboard Summary with the Form Section Header name rather than a specific question, and if there is more than one rating question per section, then it will display an average of the scores
- The 5-star rated question appears in the Dashboard, Latest Sections, and Sections History
System Configuration
- The Employee Dashboard Summary can be configured to hide the Tab or individual areas and sections within it
- There are a number of system configuration keys which enable you to customise your dashboard, such as hiding certain elements and amending colours. Options can be viewed via System Configuration> System Configuration > filter on Talent Management Group
Hide Summary tab
- You can choose to hide the whole tab by clicking the slider to change this option to true
Reorder tabs
You can also choose the order of tabs within the Dashboard by removing the Values, then selecting them in the order you wish them to appear
Example below shows Summary tab hidden and other tabs reordered in line with system configuration settings above.
|
Note: Objectives, Skills, and Development Needs Tab Visibility is controlled by System Configuration > Role Management > Select User Role > Pages. Eg if a manager does not have access to the Skills and Qualifications page, the Dashboard Tab will be hidden from them. References to hiding these areas in System Configuration relate to the corresponding pie charts on the Summary rather than the tabs, and if the page/tab access is hidden, the pie charts will be hidden automatically. |
Hide elements on the Summary tab
If you want to keep the Summary tab visible but hide certain elements, this is also possible by selecting the relevant System Configuration.
An example below shows elements of the Dashboard Summary being hidden to only show the Sections History. Data here is from rated (1-5) questions within a review form, where 'include in dashboard' is enabled.
