The Dashboard provides an easy to read summary snapshot of selected data within HR.
This guide explains how the Dashboard view can be configured by selecting from a range of predefined widgets to determine what information is displayed, where and how. Widgets can also be created to display RSS feeds, links to other websites (ie your benefits provider) and using predefined components.
For details on the standard widgets please see the Dashboard widgets explained guide.

To create an RSS feed dashboard widget
- A widget can be created to link to an external RSS feed. You will need to know the RSS URL in order to complete this

- Click OK
- The Show Title slider determines whether this will be visible
- The Locked slider determines whether the widget will display a padlock on opening the dashboard to view. This is generally used for sensitive data
- The widget will need to be Enabled in order for it to be selected for use
- Access level enables you to select who can use this widget
- Page Permissions can be added to a Dashboard. Widgets can therefore be restricted in their viewing to those users that have access to that page

- Once back in the summary view click on your newly created widget to configure the feed information
- You will now have a number of pieces of information from the feed that can be selected. The Title for each of these can be changed as required
- Click in the Reference Name box alongside each entry and select the information as required – this information is feed-dependent and not part of HR
- Click Update
- The widget is now ready for use and can be added to your Dashboard
