Query
- “Recruiter not getting email when applicant status changes”
- “Hiring manager not receiving notifications”
- “Status change email not sent”
- “Automatic emails not received in iRecruit”
Answer
Status change emails to recruiters go only to the job owner. If the job owner is receiving them, the status change email is probably not set up for this status change or this application type.
How to fix it
Check notification triggers and recipient configuration
Missing emails are often caused by configuration settings or recipient selection.
- Change the applicant's status and confirm that you select the intended recipient for the notification.
- Check if the recruiter or hiring manager who should receive the notification is set as the Job owner. Only the Job owner receives these notifications by default.
- Review the email configuration, Email To confirm the correct recipient(s) is selected. Applicant, Recruiter
- Review the email configuration, From Status and To Status to statuses to confirm the correct trigger is selected for each notification
- Review the email configuration, Application Type, (Online, Offline, Internal, Agency) to ensure that the correct applicant type(s) is selected for each notification
| Note: Assigned recruiters who are not set as the Job owner will not receive notifications by default. |
Escalate if configuration appears correct
If all settings are correct but emails are still missing, a known defect may be affecting notifications.
- If the configuration is correct and emails are still not received, contact Ciphr support for further investigation. You can also check with your internal IT to see if there are any blockages
| Note: Do not make further changes if the issue matches a known defect. Ciphr support will resolve this on your behalf. |
