Introduction
As a candidate progresses through the various stages within the recruitment process, the candidate Status will change. The changes of status and when they happen are determined by the workflow that will have been configured for your specific iRecruit system. The status of a candidate can change because of an action or can be updated manually, and can be done on an individual basis or in bulk, using the Bulk Status Change.
Changing an applicants status
To change an applicants workflow status:
- Ensure that you are viewing the candidate whose status is to be changed via Candidates by Status
- Navigate top the candidate record
- Click the Status Change icon
Depending on the Workflow that has been configured, the Applicant Management Change: Change Status window will open. This will display a picklist of the workflow status's that are linked to the current status
- You can move onto the next status or jump to another status in the preconfigured workflow
- Click Change Application Status to move the candidate onto the next status
Status changes with email triggers
Depending on how your system is configured, changing a candidate from one specific workflow status to another may trigger a Status Change Email. If this happens, a preview of the email will appear on screen, allowing you to review it and make any necessary edits.
If you want to update the workflow status without sending the email, simply untick the Send Email to Candidate checkbox.
You also have the option to attach a file by clicking ‘Choose File’ and selecting it from your device.
Note: You can attach only one file at a time. If you need to include multiple files, we recommend combining them into a single ZIP file before uploading. |
When you’re ready, click Change Application Status and Send Email to confirm the status update and send the message.
Reverting an Applicant's Workflow Status using the Hub
If an applicant’s workflow status was changed by mistake, you can easily move them back to the correct status using Hub.
The Hub is a special workflow status in iRecruit that is connected to all other workflow statuses in your system, allowing flexible movement between stages.
- Click the Change Status button on the applicant’s profile
- In the next status dropdown, select Hub
- Click Change Status to confirm
- Once the applicant is in The Hub, click Change Status again
- Select the correct workflow status you want to return the applicant to
- Click Change Status to complete the update
Note: No notification emails are automatically sent when using The Hub, unless manually configured to do so. |
