How can I decide which jobs to show on my company website?
Introduction
When publishing a job to iRecruit, you may want to advertise it on your company website careers page in addition to your iRecruit Candidate Portal. This can be achieved through an RSS feed, which automatically updates your website when a new role is posted and removes expired listings.
What is an RSS Feed?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard that allows users to receive notifications of new content on a website, without having to constantly visit the website itself.
RSS is based on XML, it is a schema that defines the structure of that XML document. Basically, a website hosts an XML file (the RSS feed), and contains metadata about articles on the site. In the case of iRecruit, this metadata is job vacancies, including a link to the article, and possibly the article content itself.
Each time a vacancy is added to the website, the XML file is updated. The user can then subscribe to the feed by passing the URL for that XML file into their RSS client or feed reader. Such RSS clients or feed readers can be embedded into another web page.
How do I see my iRecruit RSS Feed?
iRecruit RSS feeds have a URL following the naming convention of your main iRecruit system URL. For example if the iRecruit URL was https://mycompany.ciphr-irecruit.com then the RSS Feed suffix of /rssfeed.aspx would be added to give the URL of https://mycompany.ciphr-irecruit.com/rssfeed.aspx
How can I add the feed to my own company website?
To embed the RSS Feed to your own company website you would add an RSS Feed Client or Feed Reader to your webpage and add the RSS Feed URL. Due to the many different formats and languages available to create websites you would need to use the correct client or feed reader which are readily available both online and from hosting companies.

How can I decide which jobs to show on my website?
It is possible when embedding an RSS feed to use filters to include or exclude certain jobs based on specific keywords in a field. For example, the RSS Feed from iRecruit contains a field name ‘Publish Type’ for each job vacancy. This field will be populated with either, ‘Internal’, ‘External’ or ‘Both’. In this scenario if you wanted to exclude job vacancies which had been published internally only, then you would exclude on the filter ‘Internal’ under publish type.
In the case of multi entity customers who only wish to display roles for a particular entity, it is possible to add a job attribute field to hold the entity that the job relates to on the job requisition form. This attribute can then be added to the RSS Feed for filters to be applied.
