The HR release notes for Q1 2026 are available here and will be updated throughout this quarter as new features and fixes are introduced. The notes include only defects that may affect you or require your attention, while general fixes are communicated through your customer care tickets.
2026-3 (March 2026)
Due for release week commencing 23 March 2026
This release focuses on behind‑the‑scenes improvements for future enhancements and payroll integration, alongside a number of fixes that improve day‑to‑day use. The more notable fixes are listed below.
Fixes
- Add new employee (workflow): Cancelling an allowance/payment will no longer cause an error (DEFECT-11498)

Re-employ workflow The login process now correctly selects the current record for employees with multiple records following re‑employment (TECH‑1273)
- Note: If an employee was previously moved to a leaver user role, they will need to be moved back to a current user role as part of re-employment
- Policy documents: Fields are now validated against character limits to prevent long values causing an error (DEFECT‑11453)
- Training record letters: The communication button for editable letter templates now works as expected (TECH‑1673)

Mobile: The absence copy down button for the CIPHRFLEXI work pattern now functions correctly (DEFECT‑11478)
2026-2 (February 2026)

This release focused on behind-the-scenes improvements including enhancements to reporting performance and payroll integration, as well as general accessibility, navigation and usability fixes across HR

Performance improvements
The Reporting View page has been renamed My Generated Reports and now appears directly under the Reporting menu (rather than under Reporting > Report Admin) in preparation for improved reporting

AI Reviews summarisation: Clearer messaging - the confirmation modal for suggested answers now tells users when:
Only some answers could be generated
No suitable answers could be generated
Integration improvements
Payroll integration company configuration has been moved into the payroll integration settings and the limit of four companies has been removed, so you can configure additional companies as needed

Smaller screens
Menu bar accessibility: Burger menu button is now properly positioned in the tab order (PTB-8242)
Screenreader visibility of activatable items: Live Chat and Dashboard header are now labelled (PTB-8203)
Icon imagery
Bulk change: Completion icon now displays correctly (PTB-8618)

General display
- Cases: History tab will no longer display raw HTML tags (such as <p>) (DEFECT-8681)
- Cases: Policy document downloads now retain file type extension so they open correctly (DEFECT-9379)
- Code Tables: Absence Codes typo correction 'Who's Off' (DEFECT-10608)
- Company Goals can now be sorted by description in the configuration page (DEFECT-8760)
- Jobs: Change manager screen filter controls are now usable at smaller resolutions (DEFECT-11306)
- Subset filter: Autocomplete in dropdowns has been restored to prevent 'Not Found' issue (DEFECT-11395)
- Training events: View event delegate button now correctly opens delegate page (DEFECT-11234)
- Verification audit: Decline reason is now prevented from exceeding the 1000‑character database limit, and long decline reasons are displayed in a scrollable area limited to a few lines (DEFECT-9121)

Verifications filter: When criteria is applied the results now automatically start from page 1 to prevent 'no data' issue (DEFECT-9683)
Validation
Future starter absences: Correct 'Department' (Org Unit 1) is now recorded when booking absence (DEFECT-8141)
Add New Employee (Workflow): Default starter reason now applies correctly from System settings (DEFECT-10936)
Leaver Workflow: Where managers are processing future leavers, the completion message wording has been improved to clarify that the manager will continue to have access to the employee until their leave date (PTB-8582)
Payments: 'Retrict own payment entries' in Role Management now applies correctly when entering overtime payments to prevent the user amending the hourly rate (DEFECT-7927)
Mobile
CIPHRFLEXI work pattern: Absence days are now correctly recorded (1 day for each absence) (DEFECT-11488)
Public holidays: Absences booked from a holiday entitlement that includes public holidays, now include bank holiday dates correctly (DEFECT-11495)
