Pay review and bonus letter options
| Letter Template Area | Pros | Limitations |
|---|---|---|
|
Personal Payments If you wish to include bonus details recorded in Payments |
Personal Payment data can be included (if bonus processed via payments) Current pay can be added from linked Personal Details table. This will show pay at today’s date, so its usage depends on when the letters are run:
Proposed basic pay, Review date and Increase amount can be added from the linked Personal Details table to show the new rate ahead of a Job and Pay change date. This pulls from the Pay Review/Proposal tool data so it is important not to clear this data until letters are run If using the Proposed basic pay/Review date/Increase amount, letters can be issued before the Job and Pay records are updated, if employee acceptance is required before the change is processed in the system A Notes field could be mapped from Personal Payments, to add a personal note to each letter regarding the bonus (unlimited characters but capped around 1980 when merged into a letter). Payment notes could be imported using the payments importer (Import/Export Entity optional module - if installed) |
No access to point in time Job and Pay fields Job details can be pulled from Personal Details but will be current (today’s) data only, so for example if a Job Title has changed it will not show until after the effective date Further Information (FI) fields can be added from Personal Details only. FI text fields are limited to 50 characters |
|
Job and Pay If you need past/future information (point in time) |
Future Job and Pay information (such as new Job Title) can be selected by filtering on the relevant date range (point in time) Current basic pay can be added from the linked Personal Details table. This will show pay at today’s date, so can be used to show what the rate is increasing from (if required), if issued ahead of the Job and Pay change FI fields can be added from Job and Pay or Personal Details (text limited to 50 characters) |
No access to Personal Payment data (bonus) if required |
