This guide will show you how to use the Performance/Talent Dashboard which provides a summary of completed Reviews and Nine Box Grid data which can support Succession Planning.

Overview
- The Performance/Talent Dashboard provides a summary of employee Review statuses, selectable by Review Type and shows the Nine Box Grid Performance and Potential and Flight Risk ratings
- Users cannot view their own data in the Dashboard as it is designed for HR Users and Managers to view their Subordinates’ data
- Users can view their own data in the Employee Dashboard (subject to security permissions)
- The Performance/Talent Dashboard is split into four Tabs which are covered in the following sections
Dashboard
- Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Performance & Development > Performance Dashboard
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: Talent & Development > Talent Management > Talent Dashboard
- Click on the summary elements to view the source of the data for that Review Type
- Managers can view any reviews for their direct subordinates or where they are an indirect reviewer (such as 9 box quick entries – see 9 Box Grids section below).
Pending
- Click on the summary elements to view the number of complete or incomplete activities for the Review Type
9 Box Grids
- The right two tabs display the two 9 Box Grids
- Within the tab, click on a box in the grid to reveal who has been rated at the level selected. The ratings on the grid axis (high/medium/low) determine where the person sits in each grid
- The 9 Box Grids can be customised to display your organisation’s colours and language via:
- System > Talent Management Configuration > Nine Box Grid Configuration
- New UI : Performance & Development > Performance & Development Configuration > Nine Box Grid Configuration
Performance and Potential
Flight Risk 9 Box Grid (likelihood and Impact of leaving)
- Hovering over a score in the right hand box displays the date of the most recent rating. Up to three ratings will be shown if there are multiple records
Succession Planning
- The 9 Box Grid ratings can feed into the Succession Planning tool:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Performance & Development > Succession Planning
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: Talent & Development > Succession Planning

Note: To move employees into a different location in the Performance or Flight Risk Nine Box Grids, a new Review that includes the Ratings will need to be completed. A quick way to rate employees is to use the 9 Box Quick Entry page, or you can add the Ratings to an existing Review Type so this can be recorded as part of an individual review (such as annual appraisal). |
