Check where imported documents appear in Ciphr HR
Imported candidate documents do not always appear in the Personal Documents section by default.
- After importing a candidate from Ciphr iRecruit, open the employee record in Ciphr HR
- Go to the Documents tab within the Candidate Importer area to view imported documents such as CVs and interview notes
Note: Imported documents may need to be downloaded from the Documents tab and manually uploaded to Personal Documents if required for your process.
Verify document category mapping for imports
Incorrect document category mapping can prevent documents from appearing as expected.
- Check which document category is assigned in your Candidate Importer mapping
- In Ciphr HR, review your Personal Document Categories to confirm that the mapped category exists (for example, Application Documents)
- If the mapped category does not exist, create it or update the mapping to use an existing category
Important: If the document category in the mapping does not match any category in Ciphr HR, documents will not be visible after import.
Troubleshoot missing documents after import
If documents are not appearing, check these points before escalating.
- Confirm the candidate record in iRecruit has the documents attached before import
- Check that the candidate was imported using the Candidate Importer
- Review recent imports in the Candidate Importer area for any errors or missing files
- If documents are still missing, verify that the mapping does not contain underscores or incorrect field names
Tip: If you update the mapping or document categories, test with a new candidate import to confirm the issue is resolved
