How to add a video to the Ciphr iRecruit candidate portal – Ciphr

This guide explains how to request the addition of a video main landing page of your Ciphr iRecruit candidate portal. It is intended for HR administrators and recruitment teams who wish to enhance their candidate experience by displaying video content on their careers site.

Steps to follow

Adding a video banner requires assistance from Ciphr Support and cannot be completed through the standard iRecruit administration interface.

Identify the careers site or candidate portal where you would like the video banner to appear
Obtain the video URL or embed code for the video you wish to display
If the video is hosted on YouTube, ensure that it is set to Public or Unlisted so that it can be viewed by portal visitors
Where possible, provide a YouTube embed link, as this is the recommended format

Click Share, underneath your video on YouTube and select Embed
Click Copy, and provide this code to Ciphr

Contact Ciphr Support and provide:
- The name of the careers site or candidate portal
- The video URL or embed code
- Your autoplay preference
- Any additional requirements relating to the video's display
Ciphr Support will review the request and apply the video banner to the specified portal

Important:

Video cannot be added or updated through the Ciphr iRecruit user interface. This change must be completed by Ciphr Support.
The quality and performance of the video are dependent on the hosting platform. Large or poorly optimised videos may impact page load times.

Notes:

If a YouTube video is set to Private, it will not display on the candidate portal. The video must be configured as Public or Unlisted.
YouTube embed links are the preferred option as they provide the most reliable and compatible experience within the candidate portal.
Outside of Implementation this would be chargeable / CSP work

Expected outcome

Once the request has been completed by Ciphr Support, the selected video will be displayed within parameters on the main body of the landing page area of the specified candidate portal.

Candidates visiting the portal will be able to view the video according to the playback settings requested during setup.
