AD Connector
Step-by-step guide
This guide will show you how to amend variables that are used in the AD Connector workflows. This also covers enabling or disabling specific functionality with AD Connector.

Introduction
There are a number of variables in use throughout each workflow which can be amended as required.
Note, that amending these variables will change how the workflow functions so only update variables that require changing and where you understand the impact.
Editing a variable
Go to the following area:
- Login to your AD Connector portal (IT Access only)
- Workflow Configuration > [Workflow you wish to edit] > Global Variables > Edit Record
You will then be presented with the option to edit any of the variables with the edit icon.
Make the required changes and then click Save.
Updating domain details
Where you need to edit the domain details of your service (decommissioning a Domain Controller or updating root domain name), this is managed with the below variables.
- DomainController
- DomainRoot
If you need to update the domain suffix applied to new user creations, this is managed with the below.
- DomainName
Please note that where multiple domains have ben configured for your service, this may have additional logic working behind the scenes. In this situation, please raise a customer care ticket for this to be investigated first.
Enabling functionality
There are specific functions configured and ready to be enabled on implementation. This can be achieved through the global variables by switching certain "flag" states to "true".
