Answer
If you are having difficulty saving a Job and Pay record due to an error/red banner error, you can follow the below guidance to troubleshoot and fix.
How to fix it
Go to Job,Pay & Reward > Job and Pay > click into the Job and Pay Record you are trying to save
Red Banner Error 'one or more field have invalid values'
If you receive a red banner error at the top of your screen, the most common cause for this is if a mandatory field hasn’t been populated or a value has been added that the page wasn’t expecting. This will look like the below:
The above error refers to an invalid value. Click into each tab In the Job and Pay record and ensure all values are populated – you should see a field with a red error as shown on FTE calculation method below:
Update button greyed out
If the Update button is greyed out in the employee's Job and Pay Record, this will relate to change made in the Cost Centres tab. A common cause is the Cost Centres not adding up to 100% which will disable the update button:
Unexpected error when trying to save the record
If the below error is received when updating the Job and Pay record, please make a note of the time the error occurred and provide this alongside any screenshots in a ticket with our to customer care team who can troubleshoot and rectify this issue:
