This guide provides an overview of Payroll Management - the central area where you initiate and oversee the real‑time synchronisation between HR and Cloud Payroll. From here, you can start the payroll cycle directly from HR, ensuring employee data flows seamlessly into payroll without manual re-entry. This helps reduce errors, save time, and give you greater confidence that every payroll run is based on the latest information.
As you work through this guide, use the supporting pages to explore each step of the process in more detail and get the most out of the integration.
| Note: Payroll Management differs from Paylink, which is the integration with Payroll Accord. |

Contents
Opening payroll management
Go to Payroll > Payroll Management, where you are taken to the main interface used to manage the transfer of data between HR and Payroll.
What you see first depends on how many companies are configured in your system.
| Note: Visibility of the Payroll Management and Payroll Employees pages are controlled by User Role page access. Record and Field Group security does not currently apply to this area so only users with permission to see all records should have access to this page. |
Selecting a company
If multiple companies are configured:
You will be prompted to select the company you want to view.
This selection controls which company’s pay runs, employees, and settings you will see.
If there is only one company configured:
You will be taken directly into that company’s Payroll Management view.
No company selection step is needed.
From this initial screen, you can also access the configuration settings page which is used to manage system-wide configuration for the payroll integration.
Viewing active pay runs
After you select a company, or are automatically directed to your only configured company, you will see a view showing the active pay runs for each pay frequency within that company.
Each pay run in this view represents a specific combination of:
Company
Pay frequency (for example, monthly or weekly)
Pay period
Pay runs are refreshed automatically when you load the page. If a pay run has been progressed in payroll but you do not yet see the updated status:
- Stay on the main Payroll Management view
- Click the Refresh button
- The pay run information will update to show the latest status from payroll.
What you can do from the main screen
From this main Payroll Management screen, you can:
-
Drill down into individual pay runs
Click Details against a pay run to open the Pay Runs screen.
From there, you can use the summary, data changes, and employees tabs for that pay run.
-
View all employees in a pay run
Use the employees tab in a specific pay run to see which users are included and whether they are eligible, incomplete, or already synchronised.
-
Access company-specific settings
Open configuration settings that apply only to the selected company, such as mappings and configuration for that company’s payroll link.
-
Review historical closed pay runs
Where available, switch from active pay runs to closed or historical pay runs to review what has already been processed.
