This guide will show you how to create and apply a Brand to an Entity when using the optional Multi entity configuration in the legacy HR interface (pre-2025).

Overview
- A Brand can be applied to an entity when it is created or subsequently edited. The Branding functionality in HR enables you to add the logo, background and colours and then you can assign these to an Entity
To create a brand
- Click System > System Configuration > Branding
- Any brand options that already exist will be presented
- Click Clone
- Name - This represents the name of the brand and can be seem on the entity schematic.
- Default Brand - If no other brand is applied to an entity then this is the brand that will be used. The brand is created automatically but the characteristics and name can be changed as required.
- URL brand action - The branding can be viewed by entering the URL e.g. if the URL brand action is default then https://ciphrdemo3.ciphr247.com/?default.
- Logo image - Upload the logo to be used in the branding.
- Background and Mobile Background - It is possible to show an image which essentially sits behind the data pages. It is possible to have a different images for desktop and mobile as required.
- Primary Colour - This is the colour of the top header strip on which the logo is displayed.
- Secondary Colour - This is the colour of the menu bar which is located beneath the header.
- Header Colour - The colour selected will be displayed in the background header of the page where the page title is visible.
- Primary text colour - This field will determine the colour of the text in menus.
- Tertiary colour - This is not used at present but is available for future development changes.

Header text colour - This is used for the colour of the text in the page title information.
- Once the brand has been created click Update
- It can now be applied to an existing or new entity on creation or editing of that entity
| Note: It's not possible to delete a brand once assigned. |
