The National Insurance prefix code table is pre-populated at the time of your Ciphr HR installation. However there may be occasions where you need to create a new NI Number Prefix.

NI Number Prefixes

• Go to the following area:
  • Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Code Tables
  • Pre 2025 menu: System > System Administration > Code Tables
• From the Group choose People and then select the NI Number Prefixes table
• The screen will display all the existing codes

To create an NI Number Prefix

• Click Insert New Record
• Enter the Prefix
• Click Update
