This help guide will take you through the Titles code table management.

Introduction
To accurately record the personal details for your employees, you need to have all the Titles which employees may use set up in Ciphr HR. The Title field is commonly used in letter production.
Titles
- Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Code Tables
- Pre 2025 menu: System > System Administration > Code Tables
- From the Group, choose People and then select the Titles table
- The screen will display all the existing codes
| Note: Titles are linked to the Gender field - if the title is generic and could relate to either a Male or Female, then 'Unknown' should be selected, e.g in the case of 'Doctor'. |
To create a Title
- Click Insert New Record
- Enter the Title and pick the Gender
- Click Update
| Note: You may wish to create titles such as 'Mx' or others that are sector-related, e.g. Major, General, Commissioner |
To edit a Title
- Click on the Title to be edited and then revise as required
- Click Update
To delete a Title
- Click on the Title to be deleted and then click Delete
| Note: If a Title has already been recorded against an employee, it can not be deleted |
