This help guide will show you how to update payment rates in the related code table.

Introduction
- Payments are defined additions or deductions that are paid to an employee on a one-off basis. They are selected from a pick list of payment options which are generated from the Payments Code Table.
- There may be instances where the value or percentage associated with a payment, deduction or overtime allocation or calculation changes. In such instances you will need to record, against that payment code, the effective date and new calculation parameters for the code.
To view Payment codes
- Go to the following area:
- Latest (Left-hand) menu: Data Management > Code Tables
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: System > System Administration > Code Tables
- From the Job and Pay group select the Payments table
- The screen presented will display all the existing payments codes
- Clicking on the title of the payment will open that code to show the Payment Details and the Payment Rates
To update Payments
- Click on the payment code name to be updated and then go into the Payment Rates tab
- You will be presented with a list of all the changes to the allowance rates that the payment has undergone
- Click Add new record
- Enter the date that the payment rate is to be effective from and then enter the new
amount or percentage as appropriate, select the Currency and click Save changes
| Note: No changes will be made to the existing payments information recorded against an employee. However, the next time the payment code is used when recording a payment for an employee, provided it is after the effective date, the payment or deduction will reflect the new rate. |
