Introduction
The Country and Nationality codes table should be reviewed and updated so that all employee nationalities can be captured. This will enable you to accurately report and monitor your equality and diversity information.
Ciphr has a number of predefined nationality entries.

Countries/Nationality code table
- Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Code Tables
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: System > System Administration > Code Tables
- From the Group choose People and then select the Countries table
- The screen will display all the existing countries
Create a Country and Nationality
Click Insert New Record
Create a code for the entry. This code will not be visible as part of entering data and is only used in reporting
Add the country name and nationality
Recording the Default Public Holiday is optional. The Locations code table also has the opportunity to record bank holidays
The Normal Hours in Day field is used in the calculation of bank holidays for the purposes of pro rata holiday
Click Update

Edit a Country and/or Nationality
Visit the Countries code table
Click on the country name to be edited and then revise as required
Click Update
Delete a Country and/or Nationality
Visit the Countries code table
Click on the country name to be deleted
Click Delete
| Note: If a country and/or nationality has already been used for an employee, then it cannot be deleted |
