Step-by-step guide
Learning activity restrictions are applied using the organisational structure filters. They limit the visibility of the activity to those within the relevant business area. Users who do not have access will not be able to search for or launch the activity in either the Quick Search or Learning Library functions.
If no restriction is added, all users of the platform will be able to access the learning activity.
- In the menu, navigate to Admin > Manage Training > Manage Learning Activities to open the Manage Learning Activities page
- Enter the name of the activity in the Search field or use the filters and select the Search button to search for the learning activity. Select the Reset button to reset the search filters and perform a new search
- Select the Edit button to open the Manage Learning Activity page
- Select the Restrictions & Assignments tab
- Select the Add button under Restrictions, add a name and then select the area that this applies to via the Organisation Filters dropdown list
- Further fields will then appear, based on the Organisation Filter that you selected
- Click Add
- The restriction will then appear and you can make changes by selecting the Edit button or you click on the Delete button to remove the restriction
- Click on Save Activity and you will see that a restriction icon is now visible to indicate that a restriction is applied to the activity
