If you are unable to see data on the safeguarding & employee checks specialist report or data or filters are limited/missing then check for restrictions in the following area(s):
- Safeguarding template permissions
- Safeguarding employee checks template configuration
- Run the specialist report
How to fix it
Safeguarding template permissions
- Go to System Configuration > Role Management
- Select the User Role affected > Safeguarding Templates tile
- Ensure the appropriate access has been assigned to the user role to be able to view / write to the template
Safeguarding & employee checks template configuration
- Go to Employee Checks & Compliance > Employee Checks & Compliance Configuration > Safeguarding & Employee Checks Template
- Click on the Historic tab. If the Template the employee can’t access is in this menu, it means it isn’t enabled
- If appropriate, you can re-enable this by clicking into the template > switch on the Enabled slider
| Note: By re-enabling a template, it will become "live" again and will therefore be included on the Single Central Register etc. and will be available when inserting checks onto an employee's record. |
Is the template Reportable?
- Within the template check in the top section that the Reportable? field is enabled
- Then in the lower half of this form, you will see the list of fields included in the Safeguarding template:
- Locate the column called Include in Report. If there is a tick shown, the field will be included. If there is a cross, the field will be excluded
- To amend the value, click into the column and a slider will appear – you can toggle this slider on/off. Click Update once the amendments have been made.
Run the specialist report
- Go to Reporting > Specialist Reports > Safeguarding & Employee Checks
- Click the Person to view dropdown and click Advanced Search to select the "Set" of employees you wish to report on (eg Current Staff)
- From the next screen select the relevant items from the dropdowns / date fields / toggles. Options in the dropdowns will be based on the Safeguarding template permissions covered earlier
- When you have made your selection, click on the Export button. The output will only produce data for check templates that are reportable
- Only people that have the associated check template(s) added to their record will display unless the Include all employees slider was selected before running the export
