Unable to locate Safeguarding for an employee

If you or an employee are unable to see the safeguarding & employee checks page or a specific safeguarding & employee checks template then this is related to restrictions in the following area(s):

How to fix it

Safeguarding & employee checks page access

Go to System Configuration > Role Management
Select the User Role affected > Pages tile
Use the search functionality to find “Safeguarding & Employee Checks”
Ensure the appropriate access has been assigned to the user role to be able to view / write to the page
Take care to select the correct Page / Category - the pages outside the box below are configuration pages so are not needed for employees and are typically for HR users only

Safeguarding template permissions

Go to System Configuration > Role Management
Select the User Role affected > Safeguarding Templates tile
Ensure the appropriate access has been assigned to the user role to be able to view / write to the Template

Safeguarding template configuration

Go to Employee Checks & Compliance > Employee Checks & Compliance Configuration > Safeguarding & Employee Checks Template
Click on the Historic tab. If the Template the employee can’t access is in this menu, it means it isn’t enabled

If appropriate, you can re-enable this by clicking into the template > switch on the Enabled slider

Note: By re-enabling a template, it will become "live" again and will therefore be included on the Single Central Register etc. and will be available when inserting checks onto an employee's record.
