Answer
There are some layers of security surrounding Personal Documents which have been implemented to ensure the appropriate members of staff are able to view the correct group/type of documents.
How to fix it
Personal Document Slider Check:
- Go to Personal > Personal Information Configuration > Personal Document Categories Configuration
- Click into the Document Category you currently are unable to see. You will see the below form:

Ensure that the relevant access has been provided to the Employee or Manager:
- Access to Employee – Allows the employee to access the document
- Access to Manager – Allows the manager to access the document
- Click Update to save any changes
- The Batch Update can then be used to update access for any historic documents on employee records
Personal Document Field Group Security Check:
- Go to Personal > Personal Information Configuration > Personal Document Categories Configuration
- Click into the Document Category you currently are unable to see and make a note of the Security Field Group:
- Once you know the field group, navigate to System Configuration > Role Management

Select the User Role affected. From this menu, review the access in below tiles to ensure the role has access to the category:
- Record & Field Group Security – the fields visible for certain record groups (relevant to HR users only)
- Subordinate Field Group Security – the fields visible for manager subordinates
- Own Field Group Security – the fields visible for your own record
