There may be instances where you need to create the same review type for a group of employees, such as annual review time.
Rather than repeating the data entry for each employee record, the reviews can be inserted at the same time through the Bulk Change facility.

Access to Bulk Change
Firstly to be able to process changes in bulk a System Administrator licence is required. For more information on Licences please refer to the relevant help guides.
There are two pages associated with Bulk Change which need to be enabled for users to view:
- Bulk Change Wizard – to process changes
- Bulk Change Results – to view a history of changes you have processed
The page permissions can be assigned per user role via :
- Latest (left-hand) menu: System Configuration > Role Management > [select user role] > Pages
- Pre 2025 (top) menu: System > Security > Role Management > [select user role] > Pages
For more information on User Role Management please refer to the related help guides
To create a review for a subset of employee
Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Bulk Change
- Pre 2025 (top) menu: People Admin > Tasks > Bulk Change
A screen displaying a three step process will be displayed.
Step 1
- Click Select person subset
- The subset screen will be displayed enabling you to select the records for whom
the review is to be created for
- Follow the subset steps
Note: For more details on Subsets please see the related help guide.
Step 2
- The screen will display your selected employee records in the Step 1 column
- In Step 2 there is a choice of Action or Field
- Since it is data that is to be recorded click Action and from the drop down list select Create Talent Management Reviews
Step 3
- For this particular change there are no processing options so Step 3 is not required
- Click Continue
- You will be presented with the Insert Review page
- Click on the icon in the top right of the screen if you wish to check the records selected
- Select the review type and associated forms
- If including a peer form, when selecting the names, all peers for the subset will be available but where an employee in the subset is also a peer for others, it will exclude them as a peer from their own review
- Click Complete and Return to Bulk Change
- You will return to Step 2 and a message will show the review that is due to be inserted
- Click Finish on the Bulk Change screen
- A Progress window will pop up and will remain if you are processing a large group of employees. The message advises you can leave the page whilst it is running and return later to the Bulk Change Results page to view the report when it has finished
- Clicking the Summary button on the page will take you to the Bulk Change Results page where you can view a report of changes once it has completed, as well as previous bulk updates you have processed. You will not see any reports of changes that other users have run
- If you have left the page and wish to return to check on progress, Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Bulk Change History
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: People Admin > Tasks > Bulk Change Results
- The Progress window will confirm when the process is complete
- An on screen report of the changes will be presented. Click Export to PDF if a hard copy of this information is required
- To view the data entry record for any of the individual employees in the affected subset, select the required employee record and go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Performance & Development > Employee Dashboard > Reviews
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: Talent & Development > Talent Management > Employee Dashboard > Reviews
| Note: Bulk Change is irreversible so care should be taken when selecting the group of records and in ensuring the data entry is accurate eg correct dates and description of review etc as any inaccuracies will be replicated for as many records as are in the subset. |
| Tip: You can also bulk insert Objectives via this method, such as the same corporate/team goal. |
For more information on Objectives or Bulk Change please refer to the relevant help guides
