If you are unable to see the Allowances page or a specific allowance type then this is related to restrictions in the following area(s):
How to fix it
Allowances page access
- Go to System Configuration > Role Management
- Select the User Role affected > Pages tile > use the search function to search for “Allowances”
- Ensure the appropriate access has been assigned to the user role to be able to view the page
Allowances code self-service restriction
- Go to Data Management > Code Tables > Job and Pay (group) > Allowances
- Click into the Allowance affected > Allowance Details tab.

In the form you will see a field called Self-Service Restriction. The values in the dropdown are below:
- No restrictions – All user types can see and insert this Allowance
- Read only, except HR – Only HR Users can insert this Allowance type, Manager and Normal User can read
- HR Only – Access only available to HR Users
- Once a restriction has been set, click Update.
Allowances code multi entity (if enabled)
- Go to Job, Pay & Reward > Job and Pay
- Click into the employee’s current Job and Pay Record. Make a note of the value in the “Multi Entity” field:
- Go to Data Management > Code Tables > Job and Pay (group) > Allowances
- Filter to the Allowance affected and click the Multi Entity button
- From this form, you will be able to amend the access for the Entity by clicking into the relevant box / boxes (ticking as required):
- Once selected, click Update.
