Query
How do I find Jpy ID for each job and pay history record for an import?
Answer
- You can find Jpy ID by using Report designer (licence required).
- A Jpy ID is a unique identifier assigned to each Job and Pay record in HR.
- Employees can have multiple Job and Pay records - for example (see image below), if they've changed role, moved department or hold more than one position - and each record has its own Jpy ID.
- When you're importing data into existing Job and Pay records, whether as part of your initial implementation or a later change through one of our Additional Services packages, you need to include the Jpy ID in your import file.
| Note: If you do not provide a Jpy ID when importing into an existing Job and Pay record then the import can't be processed. If you require an existing record to be updated, please ensure the Jpy ID is included in your import file so the data can be mapped to the correct row. |
How to find JPY ID
- Go to Reporting > Report Admin > Report Designer.
- In step 2 (Fields), select the Job and Pay Details table as the master table.
- Add the Jpy ID field to your report.
- Run the report to extract the Jpy ID for each Job and Pay record.
- Copy the Jpy IDs into your import file before submitting it to our team.
