Your Q2 2026 AI assistant release notes are here. We'll keep this page updated throughout the quarter as new updates land.
2026-03 (June 2026-2)
Released week commencing 22 June 2026. This release focussed on improvements to absence booking with the AI Assistant and can now link to our knowledge base for 'how to' guidance type queries.
New feature
- Knowledge base search links: when you ask a 'how to' guidance question, the assistant now returns a direct knowledge base search link tailored to your question. The link is generated dynamically from your own wording.
Updates
- Flexi workers' time off now records actual hours rather than defaulting to a full 24-hour day: the assistant asks for your hours and records them. Employees on standard work patterns are unaffected
- Different hours on different days in a single booking: eg 06:00-13:00 Monday, 07:00-14:00 Tuesday - booked as one record with the correct days and hours
- Overnight shifts that cross midnight are split across the two days correctly
- Natural confirmation wording understood: confirmation replies, "yes", "confirmed", "go ahead" and similar all work when confirming an absence booking
Fixes
- Confirmation understands natural wording: "yes", "confirmed", "go ahead", etc. all work — no more getting stuck repeating yourself in a loop
-
No more auto-added Absence notes: a note is only added if you ask for one when booking absence, and is kept through the whole conversation
2026-02 (June 2026-1)
- Released week commencing 1 June 2026
Updates
- See the thinking behind the answer: When our AI assistant works through a question, you can now see its reasoning. It's displayed as a collapsible section, so you get the transparency without the clutter.
- Updated suggested prompts: The suggested prompts have been refreshed to better reflect what the AI assistant can do, and are now relevant for all users, whether you're an employee, manager, or HR administrator.
Fixes
Various fixes and improvements, including:
- Text input fix: The message box could occasionally get stuck as read-only after opening the chat panel. This is now resolved
- Multiple improvements to optimise usability on mobile devices
2026-01 (May 2026)
- Released week commencing 11 May 2026

- Conversation titles: Conversations now get a meaningful title based on what you asked, rather than a date and time stamp.
- Editable titles: You can rename any conversation yourself.
-
UI improvements: Better panel resizing and auto-focus on the prompt field when you open the AI assistant.
