Payroll icon missing within the remote desktop

Query

The payroll icon has disappeared from my remote desktop so I can't log in to payroll.

Answer

The missing payroll icon is caused by not signing out and disconnecting from your current session properly.

How to fix it

Ensure you sign out of the remote desktop by clicking on the windows icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, then click on your username icon and sign out.

• Then sign out of the windows app by clicking on your username icon in the top right hand corner of the screen, and sign out. 

• This will ensure you have signed out and disconnected from your current session properly.
• When you log back in, the Payroll icon should now be available.
