The Absence cannot be longer than 30 days

Query

Why am I unable to insert a time off record longer than 30 days or insert an absence over 30 days?

Answer

• Absences attached to a work pattern with a "CIPHRFLEXI" code are designed to only be added for a period of up to 30 days at a time. Trying to insert an absence for longer than 30 days will result in an error.

How to fix it

Multiple continuous absences

• Multiple absences can be inserted (perhaps in line with fit notes if not exceeding 30 days) and linked using the Continuous? slider

Edit the work pattern

• HR users have access to amend the work pattern for a particular absence.  Choose a (non-flexi) pattern that matches the employee's weekly hours to be able to record the long-term absence.  This will also save having to log the hours for each day (that is required with a CIPHRFLEXI pattern) as the hours will be pre-populated by the amended pattern
