Check widget configuration and data sources
Widget data accuracy depends on correct configuration and up-to-date user and team records.
- Review the dashboard widget settings to confirm it's referencing the correct learning plan or team
- If a team or group is missing from a Team Dashboard widget, confirm the team or users are present in Admin > Manage Users
- Check whether recent changes have been made to team names, team hierarchies or learning plan structures, as these can affect widget visibility and data accuracy
- If a widget displays incorrect progress (such as 0% when learning is complete), determine whether the issue affects all users or only specific ones, and whether it impacts new completions or previous completions too
Note: changes to team names or learning plan structures may take time to reflect in widgets, depending on the synchronisation from HR which usually happens overnight.
Verify user access and learner profiles
- If a user sees a dashboard setup message or a blank page, search for their record in the LMS admin area
- Confirm their learner profile exists and is complete
- Check that the user's LMS learner profile is correctly linked to their HR record, and that they have the appropriate learner role and permissions
- Check that they have access and visibility in the Manage Portal Content
Note: A missing or incomplete learner profile can prevent dashboard widgets from displaying or updating correctly for that user.
Validate progress data
- If widget progress appears inconsistent, run the Learning Progress report and compare results
- For a breakdown of individual activity statuses within a plan, run the Training Records report instead
Note: Differences between widget progress and these reports can occur. Use the reports as the source of truth for completion status until any widget issue is resolved.
