This guide shows you how to enable the 'try the new HR experience' slider toggle for a User Role.
To enable the new experience toggle

- Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: System Configuration > Role Management
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: System > Security > Role Management
- Select the relevant User Role then click Details

You’ll see a new slider on the right for Access new experience
- Turn on the slider, then click Review Changes and Update
- People in the user role will then see the Try the new experience switcher in the top-right menu so they can try it out
- When the user goes into the new experience they’ll be greeted by in-app guidance for a tour around the new layout
Once you're happy to move everyone on to the new experience and remove the version switcher you can disable the old interface via system configuration.
Once disabled, the Access new experience setting in User role details will disappear.
