This help guide will show you how to record a return to work interview following an absence.

Introduction
In the codes table for absence you can optionally determine whether absences of that type should normally have a Return to Work Interview Conducted.
If the code has this set to be on then an additional tab will be made available when recording an absence where notes can be recorded.
Absence codes
- Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Code Tables
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: System > System Administration > Code Tables
- Select the Absence Group and Absence Codes
- The screen will display all of the existing codes in this table
- Click on a code to see how it is configured

- One of the options within the code configuration is Return to Work interview?
- Set this slider if the absence should have a return to work interview
To record a return to work interview
- Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Holidays & Absence > Book & View Time Off
- Pre-2025 (top) menu: Personal Data > Time Management > Time Off
- The screen will display a summary view of the absences for the selected employee
- Click Insert New Record and record the absence in the usual manner
- Providing the absence is of a type where the code has the Return to Work Conducted slider set, then an additional tab will be made available where notes can be recorded for the absence
- Click Update to save
In the Book & View Time Off summary view, that absence record will have a tick in the Return to Work Interview Conducted? field
