HR
Step-by-step guide
This guide covers how to configure standard (single level of approval) verifications.
Introduction
Various pages within HR can be configured such that if a change is made to the data on that page the change request is sent for verification prior to being accepted.
Once the page security has been determined for managers and employees then Verifications should be configured to establish which person or area of the business can approve (or decline) the change that has been made.
To configure Verifications
Go to the following area:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: System Configuration> Page Verification
- Pre 2025 (top) menu: System> Security> Verification Settings
The screen presented will display the Page Description, Menu Header, and will show the Page Verification setting and whether you wish to Send Verification Notifications?
- Click the Edit button alongside the Page Description that you would like to change
- This will enable you to select between the options of:
- None – there is no verification on the page. Changes to information will not require approval
- HR Only – changes can only be verified by someone in an HR User type role
- HR or Manager – changes can be verified by someone in either an HR User or Manager type role. This will be the employee line manager in most cases
- Where a page requires verification, you can then choose to enable the slider toggle in the Send Verification Notifications? column to confirm whether you wish email alerts to be sent to the verifier/requester when a change is requested/approved/declined
- Changes made to data in these areas where there is Page Verification in place will require approval. Outstanding verifications can be accessed by clicking either:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Approvals > Verification
- Pre 2025 (top) menu: Manager Options > Verification
