Step-by-step guide
This help guide will show you how to determine which fields are audited.

Introduction
- The Audit Log maintains a record of changes made within HR
- The fields that are audited and therefore appear in the Audit Log are configurable
- There is an Audit Log report which enables you to review activity in the HR system
To determine which fields are audited
- Navigate to:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Data Management > Tables and Fields
- Pre 2025 (top) menu: System > System Administration > Tables and Fields
- The screen will display a list of tables with a description and will indicate whether fields in that table are audited.
- Navigate to the table that you wish to review either by using the search function at the top of the screen to type all or part of the table name you are searching for, use the page indicators at the bottom of the screen or use the column filter options
- Once you have located the table as required click on the name to display the details of the table and on a separate tab, fields within that table
- The Audit? column displays whether the field is audited
- The Required in UI? column displays whether the field is mandatory
- Click Edit
- This will enable you to change the Description and to change whether the field is audited or mandatory
- Make the changes as required and then click Update
To run the Audit Log Report
- Navigate to:
- Latest (left-hand) menu: Reporting > Reports
- Pre 2025 (top) menu: Reports > Reports
- Click on the System group of reports
- From the list of reports presented click on Audit Log
- You will be presented with a filter form where you can specify the criteria that you are interested in reporting on
- The filter that you create can be saved and reused if you want to run the report again at any point
- The filter will enable you to specify date and time ranges, user or employee names, the type of action that has been taken and which table or field you are interested in reporting on
- Complete the criteria as required and then click Continue
