This guide explains which Personal Details fields are classed as 'sensitive' and will trigger an email notification to the user when their details are changed, as a security precaution.

Personal Details changes

• An email alert can be triggered whenever a change is made to a sensitive field in Personal Details.
• Go to the following area:
  • Latest menu: Personal > Personal Details
  • Pre 2025 menu: Personal Data > Personal Information > Personal Details
• You’ll receive the email notification whether the change is made by you or by someone else with access to your record, and whether or not the change is pending verification
• If your contact or work email is updated, the notification will be sent to both the old and new email addresses
• The email will list the name(s) of the field(s) that were changed, but not the specific values

Sensitive fields

The following fields are classed as sensitive and will trigger the email notification (where enabled) if data is changed in the Personal Details page:

System configuration - to enable/disable emails

• You can control whether the sensitive field email notification is triggered when fields are changed.
• Go to the following area:
  • Latest menu: System Configuration > System Configuration
  • Pre 2025 menu: System > System Configuration > System Configuration
• The can be enabled/disabled via Enable Sensitive Field Notifications
• Click on the row to turn the slider on/off to control whether emails are sent
• Click Update to save any changes
