This guide explains how to set your password if you sign in to HR with email address and password (not single sign on - known as basic auth).

New users with activation email
- If you have email notifications enabled for email and password users in Sign-in settings then new users will receive an email
- Click on the link and then skip to the Set your password section
Reset password
- At the Sign-in screen, after entering your email address and clicking Next, if you've forgotten your password or see an invalid warning message you can click Reset password

- Click Reset password and enter your sign-in email (see note above) and click Send
Set new password

Note: Your activation email is only valid for 24 hours, so if you click the link after this period, you’ll see this message below: Click Reset password and you’ll receive a new email with updated link: |
- Click Reset on the email and you'll be directed to the sign-in page and asked to set a password.
- Enter a password which must meet the minimum requirements as explained on screen (these are set by your Sign-in settings).
- Click Set password
- You’ll then receive a confirmation email to confirm you’ve successfully set your new password.
