Overview
The Event Management area of HR enables you to create instances of a Course. It will also pull through all the default information from the Course if it has been created in the Course Bank.
Having created Events, the event will be visible in the Event Planner, and delegates can book to attend.
Creating an Event
- Go to the following area:
• Latest menu: Performance & Development > Performance & Development Configuration > Event Management
• Pre 2025 menu: People Admin > Training & Events > Event Management - The screen displays all the events that have been set up. These can be for courses that are in the Course Bank or can be created on an ad hoc basis
To create an Event for a Course in the Course Bank
- Click Insert New Record
- Click on the magnifier adjacent to the Code field. A list of Course Bank courses will be displayed
- Use the search and filter tools to locate the required course
- Click on the course title
- The Event Details will be populated with the course information that has been set up for the course in the Course Bank
- Any of the pre-populated information can be modified if required. Enter a Start Date. The End Date will be inserted based on the event duration
- Click Update
Note: The event will be given a sequential number, which represents the number of instances that the course has been scheduled
|
To create an Event for an ad hoc course
- Click Insert New Record
- In the Code field, enter a code for the course and in the Title field, enter an event title. Since it will be the first event of this type, the number 1 will be allocated to the event
- Complete the remaining information for the event as required, if applicable, the magnifier to locate the Supplier and Venue
- Click Update
Note: It is advised that you create your courses in the Course Bank before creating events rather than creating them on an ad hoc basis. This will ensure that events of a similar name, which are the same event, are not created and ensure that reporting on training is more accurate. |
