If you are unable to generate a BACS file there are two options to resolve this.
We recommend using the Azure remote desktop application instead of the web version, this process is documented here.
If you are unable to install applications from the Microsoft Store without IT support, read on to resolve file paths within the web desktop.
Step 1
Select “Make Payments” from the toolbar and then “Payroll Parameters”.
Step 2 (BACS)
If you are attempting to generate your BACS file, update the file path value held in the “BACS File Path/Name/Template” item before the file name (“ProcessBACSFile.txt”) and replace with “\\tsclient\Remote Desktop Virtual Drive\Downloads\”
Click the “OK” button to save.
Step 2 (Faster Pay)
If you are attempting to generate your Faster Pay file, update the file path value held in the “File directory” item before the file name (“ProcessBACSFile.txt”) and replace with \\tsclient\Remote Desktop Virtual Drive\Downloads\
Click “OK” to save.
Step 3
You should now be able to create your BACS or Faster Pay file by selecting “Make Payments” from the toolbar and selecting the appropriate option in the drop-down menu.
Start the process.
The file will appear in your browser downloads and will be accessible from your computer’s downloads folder.
